Commerce :
Commerce can be interpreted as a study of business and marketing activities such as the exchange of commodities and services from the manufacturer to the final customer. Commerce directly or indirectly is linked with business, especially with the distribution aspect. Commerce helps in creating a proper distribution channel and creates a market for surplus commodities. It has been already proven that good commerce performs an enormous role in the economic development of a country. Students who deal with numbers easily and find it interesting, and who aim to shape their career in financial economics and business (corporate) world should take Commerce.

Scheme of Examination:
The scheme of examination is defined by Maharashtra State Board as follows:
- Class XI examination will be conducted by the college.
- 80 % attendance compulsory for promotion to the next class.
- Class XII examination will be conducted by Maharashtra State Board.
What are the prerequisites to take Commerce?
There are no major prerequisites to taking Commerce. Students must only be interested in the subject and the fields they can enter into. One thing must be remembered though, to learn different business strategies, the fact is that Commerce involves orgnisation of commerce & management. Thus the students will require a good knowledge and interest in business.
What are the career opportunities after Commerce?
The careers open to students of Commerce include jobs in Business, Banking, Accounts and Finance. They can also become a Chartered Accountant, Management Executive, Company Secretary, Corporate Lawyer, Finance Analyst, Finance Planner and an Investment Banker. Further, jobs like those of a Manager, HR Executive, Chief Executive Officer, Insurance Officer, Portfolio Manager, Tax Auditor, Tax Consultant, Economist, Statistician and Account Executive are also available. Jobs in Stock Broking, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment, Auditing as well as jobs at MNC’s are open to students of Commerce.
